to those who wants to learn, It is not expansion policy. It is more of a recovery policy. Chinese lost the land in qin dynasty to the barbarian. Han is merely recovering the lost land. However, having saying that, chinese push the war further was to ensure the barbarian never has the power to be a threat to china. It is not because Chinese wanted to expand their land.
