  • In my experience, children (especially adolescents), when left to their own desires only accomplish that which immediately satisfies childish urges. Without structure and authoritative guidance, children play. They learn only lessons deemed worthy by their uninformed minds. Sure curiosity exists; I've only seen it used to measure what can be gotten away with. Patience on the other hand is a quality our young folk are lacking.

Our current system allows for exploration of curiosity. Just ask!

  • It's done TO people because they are FORCED to go. Grading does not start that late I work in schools. College is not forced, everything before college is forced schooling which means it is done TO people. I am going to college to be a teacher and I work as an aide at schools.

  • Schooling is not done TO people - it's done FOR people and Grading starts around 3rd or 4th grade currently and the trend is changing towards later years. Puzzles me that your account states you as 21 and working for a school....not likely your views don't mix and your age is a little errrrmmm - young.

  • Schooling is done to people up until they are 16 i believe. Grading pretty much starts around 1st and 3rd grades, which makes at least ten years of grading.

  • schooling is not done to you - you can choose. Your grades reflect that choice. Many schools do not grade the younger children. As far as the older students or adults -- what you put in you get out, so schooling is not done to you -- it's a matter of perspective. Seems to me you've taken a very negative approach to helping society better themselves. BTW, how are you able to have this insight.....oh, wait, you were forced schooled.

  • Brilliant

  • YES! Living IS learning.

  • Yes! Bravo! Grades. We do not need it.
