i was gladly surprised by the applause at the end. 4'33'' is a clever, meaningfull piece by john cage, and this was quite a nice remake, done with passion and honesty.
the conductor and musicians acted respectfully, not at all as if they were trying to pull a joke on the audience - and for sure that was why the audience reacted in an equaly respectfull way.
grats!
PS: "please do not clap between the movements" was a nice touch ;]

one of the best performances i've seen so far :)
letting the audience understand what's going on is extremely important to the piece. and it's something often ignored by many people.

I would be pissed as all-get-out if i had to sit through that when i was expecting a real 3 movements, not some rip-off scam that's somehow regarded as art. I can't believe people actually applaud when they finish, it's not even a display of talent or skill, just some waste of time displaying something everyone already knows. "there is no such thing as total ambiance"
