Greetings from across the pond! That is a real sweet engine you have there. I just bought a 1954 M211 (Canada used them as well) and it has been repowered with a 455ci Oldsmobile V8. Good old American big block power! Nothing like a hot rod Military truck!

geez Tony I'd love to make it to Corowa but I'm a bit far offshore these days mate, got stuck with the seppos and it looks like this is as far as I can go unless I can get the kids out eh.. things being what they are that's a bit optimistic.
Things from home you don't forget or ditch though, no matter how far you go, y'know :)

exelent looks good...thanks for sharing
Well...I suppose it is like an overhead valve engine in that it is an internal combustion engine.
The valve arrangement is different to an overhead valve engine however.

you bloody bewdy!
It's so long since I've seen (or heard) a Blitz, there were a couple kicking around the Gembrook area in Victoria when I was a boy - mind you, there was still a working bullock team snigging logs up out of the gullies out near Beenak at that time.
It was a big thrill to hear that great old sidebanger roar! Great job matey!

@SuperAroaro
Thanks Mate - she was a lot of hard work but very well worth it. They are an awesome truck and it is great fun to drive. All the owners of these trucks take them to Corowa for a get together in March for a week. Look forward to seeing you there.

Ford Blitz (that's what theyre called in Australia anyway). Anywhere else they are known as a CMP which stands for Canadian Military Pattern.
It is a Cab 12 F60L. Date of Manufacture 1941.
