The opening number of MAME puts me in the best mood and Angela Lansbury sounds amazing. Plus a delicious vocal arrangement by Don Pippin. MORE videos on www.SethRudetsky.com

  • Seth, Seth, Seth, you are a national treasure. These deconstructions bring me so much joy. You and I have extremely similar musical tastes and reactions. Please never stop doing these. They are soul-feeding!

  • "Shut UP violins!" LOL

What a beautiful deconstruction on this beautiful day. Thank you Seth. :)

  • One of my favorite opening numbers in the history of musical theatre. I had the JOY to do this show a few years back... and let me say, I usually feel a bit cheesy doing a shouted "Hey!" at the end of the song, but with this - like you say, the song is so filled with joy, that it just felt natural. It really is a phenomenal opening number, and this is a WONDERFUL deconstruction!
