@oldschooltillDeath I don't see why not. It depends on your rig. This pedal definitely has the gain and low-end balls. But remember the trick for death metal, not only the gain but the tuning and EQ. Tune your guitar one step down or even 1 1/2 down, EQ properly and add a reasonable amount of gain, not extreme gain. Hope this helps, cheers!

personally the hm-2 with a eq pedal and a wah. Best death metal sound ever. Thrash id suggest tube screamer, eq, and a decent fuzz pedal.

@TheOzzk yea i play in D ....on my marshall full gain and bass and treble to 6 but i never had a pedal..i m beetween this and line 6 uber metal,,actually i was in jeff s loomis guitar clinic and said i should buy the boss but i wanted to ask someone who played it...anyway thanks for the help man
