I really don't have any tips other than to just use common sense and be as careful as you can. Keep him as close to the ground as possible so he doesn't have far to fall if he jumps from you.

You can, but I prefer to have a calcium dust on the nights I'm feeding roaches. The extra calcium really seems to benefit my laying females especially.

For feeding cresteds, can you dust the insects in the dry CGD powder?

What soil would you recommend for cresties.

@LazersRcool832 I have info like that on my website, linked in the video info.

is too deep, and he doesn't see his food sitting in it! Also, we have a cat in our house, and if my crestie somehow gets out while I'm handling him, he's in a lot of danger, is there any way to minimize his risk? Also, I use repti-bark substrate, because (contradictory to my prior research on cresties) the person at the store (who owns one) uses the bark, and actually had trouble with coconute fiber substrate. I know it's a lot, but please, I would love some help. Thank you.

@lugia492 re: cat... just handle the gecko in a closed room? Repti-bark is -terrible- for this species, they are clumsy hunters and can easily swallow pieces they cannot pass. I recommend paper towel laid flat, or if you like naturalistic, very finely broken-up ORGANIC soil mixed with ORGANIC sphagnum peat moss, with a drainage layer. btw it's a LOT easier to contact me through the site... I often don't get email notifications here.

I recently got a new crested gecko, not sure how old he is, but he's about 3 1/3 - 4 inches long, and I feed his (small, of course) feeder crickets fluker's calcium fortified cricket quencher. Is this enough for calcium, or should I dust them also? Additionally, I have deep-ish food and water dishes, and he doesn't eat his food, which, incidentally, is the most expensive, best food I could buy, you must refridgerate it and it comes in bite-sized pieces. He's eaten some, but I'm afraid the bowl-

@lugia492 the "bite-sized pieces" food is pretty awful :( I'm afraid you overpaid for it. Crested Gecko Diet/Repashy Superfood is what you should be feeding your gecko - they don't even need live food with it, though I do feed mine live food 1x a week anyway. You should be dusting them as well, in my opinion, but I do not have experience with Flukers calcium cricket quencher... I prefer to feed my feeders natural stuff.
