The whole L&L love story was never supposed to happen. When Luke raped Laura, he was a bad guy who was about to get killed off the show. For whatever reason, viewers took a liking to Luke after the rape and ratings shot up. GH got Tony to stick around. It was changed from a rape to a seduction in an attempt to appease viewers. How well it worked is a different story.
Laura was never supposed to fall in love with her rapist. Don't blame GH for this. Ratings were the reason.

This is ugly. Fact is Laura lied the whole time about the "affair" but Luke DID rape her. We all forget that she was just a kid and didn't know what she was doing or thinking. Raw, honest and fascinating. No wonder this storyline saved the show.

Scotty shouldn't have slapped Laura but I could understand if he had gone after Luke (Puke) and killed him, after all Luke was guilty of raping Scotty's wife.
