Dos estudiantes fallecieron el lunes y más de 30 resultaron heridos durante las protestas por el
cierre de RCTV en la ciudad de Mérida (occidente), donde violentas manifestaciones de partidarios y

detractores de la medida se enfrentaron con palos y pistolas
El ministro del Interior, Tarek el Aissami, señaló que un joven de 15 años, simpatizante del Gobierno, fue

asesinado, en lo que el ministro calificó de emboscada. Además, hay nueve funcionarios heridos.

En todo el estado Mérida fueron suspendidas las clases de educación básica y secundaria durante este

martes. El rector de la Universidad de Los Andes, Mario Bonucci, suspendió también las actividades

académicas y administrativas hasta nuevo aviso.
