@letswatchstuff2009 Actually it's not really a surprise it's more of a self revelation. Throughout the show she sings with a softer meek voice but in this scene she belts it out because she is now a checkerboard chick.

@mackie584 It took a year for someone to answer that question =] I've never seen the stage show so i could only comment on what i heard from these videos and as i said it seemed like Penny was always better than Tracy - BUT it was meant to be like that (as least for this song) Thanks for finally answering that! I appreciate it

@letswatchstuff2009 it's supposed to be a sort of surprise/shock at the end when Penny belts it out at the end. throughout the show, she is very meek and quiet.
