Same thing happend to my budys mustang he got the rpms to high in second and it was ticking and poping only had 65000 miles I don't think I would won't one

My supercharged, stock longblock 2v 4.6 ran 11.3@121 on 11 psi...id say that is pretty damn good for a slow 2v 4.6

@187streetsoldier The obvious proof of this, is Ford's very steady, conservative and incremental improvement of the modular design. Yes it took a few decades. So did OHV design, after the old flatheads were out. You could see the important milestones, too. The the Cobra R, the Ford GT, the early DOHC 4.6L NA Cobras (1998), the S/C Termi's, the aformentioned NA DOHC Mach1, the FR500C (racing), and now the Coyote 5.0L. Ford, though a perceived 'underdog,' they have STOMPED GM in net acheivement.
