Not bad. However, it doesn't obtain his ultimate wish. Humanity must succeed, extend to the furthest reaches of the galaxy, and obtain everlasting dominion over all. Even if he ascends to the warp and cleanses everything as you say, I think it's still not the way he wants it done.

I am told that if there's some "epic battle" and the Eldar win the Emperor will "ascend" to the warp along with all the 'spirits' of dead Eldar.

This apparently cleanses the warp of evil and the Emperor rules as a true god.

I never said it was mostly Roman derived, I said that Imperium is a Roman word. Which it is. Imperium in Latin literally meant the power to command legionaries in battle. A governor or consul had imperium.

I finished the campaign ages ago and this chant still gives me goosebumps.

Imagine it.

Armour clad space marines marching into the wall of endless forces of chaos for the Imperium of man.

Necrons, Sisters of Battle, The Holy Inquiaiion (Ordos Heretic, Zeno etc) Orks,Eldar, Dark Eldar.Webway gates, Warp Travel...Psykers....Daemon Weapons.....Deamons....I can go on.....Imperium of man is less to do with Rome and Romans and more to do with a mix of Greek and Various cultures Mythology. Its set-up with a veneer of Roman (Gothics....including there religious language 'High Gothic').....which i still like it because they make it seem original....

in regards to the declining state of the imperium, especially the expansion of other threats, and the golden throne which will soon fail, a high-ranking gamesworkshop representative told me "Humanity will be fall into an... infinite darkness... unless a miracle happens..." DO I SMELL RETURN OF THE GOD EMPEROR? (he didnt answer that question)
