Vectrex Protector YASI Game Credits & Music

Today I received a new Vectrex game, Well 2 new games on 1 cartridge. When I started the Protector/YASI (Yet Another Space Invader) cart, I was amazed to find this mesmerizing animation under option 4 on the startup screen. I found the music to be some of the best I've ever heard possible on this little 28 year old machine, it sounds to me just as good as the C64s SID chip. The silky smooth revolving vectorized disc isn't too bad either, so I thought it deserved it's own video. I'll upload Gameplay videos later on.

Thanx for posting this! I have Protector Limited Edition from the first run, but it doesn't have this. (Just double checked).. They must have added it... Nice to see..

Yeah, the AY-3-8910 is a pretty good sound chip...used in quite a few consoles and early-80s arcade games. Konami used five of these chips in Gyruss, four of them dedicated just to music!

I'm not surprised by that, after 30 years of code optimization by the demo scene it's amazing what they can do with so little resources
