A very short piece Nick Drake played after finishing the album Pink Moon. It is a hidden track not heard of until the release of the compilation album A Treasury in 2004 which was intended for the audiophile audience.

Plaisir d'amour (the pleasure of love) is a classical French love song written in 1780 by Jean Paul Égide Martini. Although, it has been adapted as a piece of pop music, it was written in a classical style during the classical period.

  • The cardboard box of the Pink Moon original master tape (a photo of which appears on the remastered edition of that album, last page in the booklet) reads: 'Plaisir D'Amour' just before the beginning of side two. A note aside reads: 'Spare title / Do not use'.

The notes to this post tell the rest.

  • google the title and it explains everything, its not hard to do!

  • this is called an attempt at Mass-Chutya...

  • this is the tune of I cant help falling in love with you

  • to me, he's not nick drake

  • @TheGlatisant they did, but why is it so impossible to believe he played this as a seperate take at the very end? its sounds like him i think. i could be wrong, but it wouldnt surprise me either way

  • Bullshit - Drake was not playing at all like that at around Pink Moon. He actually cut Pink Moon in one take.
