The government certainly can help but we individuals around Australia certainly should be a big part of helping the poor.

God put children and their needs on my heart and I'll do anything to save them.

All them movie and singers around the world who have so much money one person alone have 10 Billion and afraid to close they eye to give 5 million away to who really need help and food fire bun the rich that not helping the poor white or black.

It's not any government's responsibility to care for the poor, but for individuals to donate if they feel inclined. Wealth redistribution is socialism. When free markets are actually taking place people will be extremely generous and help the poor. With the corrupt bankers they take everything and never leave enough for anyone to survive or be able to help. We need to change the system and get the banking cartel out of global and political affairs or this will never change.
