  • TRULY HE HAS SUNK IN THE GOD WHILE RENDERING THIS KRITHI.HOW MANY CAN SING IN BASE VOICE. THE VOICE PULLS YOU IN TO DIVINITY

    DR PATHY

  • Good gracious what a rendition ! Who else can perform so ,except MDR

His deep voice, profound knowledge, & the involvement make him unique

Heavenly Bliss ! my salutations !

  • What style!! He didn't have a voice which can be instantly appreciated by one and all. But he had the genius to convert it to a strength and make it look and feel great for lovers of Carnatic by providing unique style. One Carnatic music appreciations skills grow in you, MDR is a just so awesome.

  • @prasadvasan23 ur comment only goes to show how well u can identify accompanist styles. the violin is TNK and the mridangam is none other than the living legend Dr. T.K.Murthy! and this is a 200% guaranteed fact!!

  • @gundasi

Looks like on violin it surely Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman and Mridangam should be Sri Palghat Mani Iyer.

  • Sri M.D.Ramanathan is a phenomenon. A divine gift to the Music fraternity. Looks like he only sings to God and not for others. He digs out the complete essence of a raaga during his rendition. We are blessed to be living when he lived. Great soul. You can't have one more. His Reethigowla rendition of Paripalaya is the best I have heared. superb. Takes you to trance. Thank God.

  • I have heard him in Kalakshetra - too young to appreciate. Later heard this song on AIR where he elaborated the ragam. I have been searching for the same rendition with no luck. Great voice and talent.

  • Several great accompanist are featured. Lalgudi,MSG,TNK,etc

    vaidya

  • A divine voice. None has come any where near to him in all the decades.
