Bishi's single.'Dia Ti Maria' is a choral piece; a song of loss, fortitude and self-realization. Inspired by the Greek Orthodox liturgy, the 1st and last sections are written in Koine (Biblical) Greek. The English lyrics are quotes from Milton's Paradise lost. Originally commissioned by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus the US debut grabbed the front page of the New York Times who announced Bishi as the 'New British Diva'.
Bishi sings all 50 voices on the recording...
yay, I got the 666 hmmmm bunkum, but I've listened to it loads of time on my playlist, it is an absolute blinder, I am still moved and lifted and raise aloft by its strength and slow joy, many thanks Bishi.

An absolute delight, the children of Derek Jarman shall come forth and teem like minnows the brooks of Charing Cross and Tottenham, leap down from Dungeness and to the ocean at Cefalu. I say this because he had a knife on his desk with Nec Timeo nec Spero; also a taste in Elizabethan herb gardens, a new Jacobean at heart, and there is some fruit of these seeds spilled in this work, not to say that it isn't clear fresh and wholey original in its own right, as is every Rose. Much thanks,Jeffearth.
