I think we may have solved the mystery of Papi's amazing first half. One question, has the lead singer of Aerosmith attended all the Sox games this year?

lol, pretty easy to see the chain of events here. Tyler is busy talking to his neighbor when the guy points out that they're is showing him on t.v. so he looks up and waives to the camera. The crowd sees tyler on the screen and starts cheering which distracts Papi so he calls time until the crowd is finished cheering.

There's a TV delay of 8 or 10 seconds. No way Steven Tyler could see the sign and signal Papi that fast. If he was signalling him, it wasn't because of the TV. He may have just guessed it would be a curve.
