I wonder what ME realy is, since no doctor has a clue, i know alot of people who have ME might have lyme disease or mercury poisoning, but what about the rest, hope someday someone figures it out!

hearing this makes me want to cry. i've had ME for four years now and in that four years i haven't tried to connect with others who have the illness or tried to raise awareness or tried to help others suffering too. i've just been fighting my own battle. i think it's because it's too real to talk about it all. reality is painful. i want to start connecting with others though who have the illness, other people my age who truly understand would be absolutely invaluable to me.

i am so sad to hear that people do not take this seriously you are one brave woman take care and may god continue to bless u and all those effected by ME take care!!!^_^

@LyraRaven Ah you'd be surprised at the amount of people who are in Scotland with M.E. (or at least the ones I know of!) I'll just send you a message now with the charities :)
-
@DAiiSYXO I'd love to, and yes, scotland. But the support in my region is almost non existant. I really struggle to find anything.
-
@LyraRaven You're always welcome to private message me on here if you ever want to talk, I'll always reply even if it takes a few days to do so :) Do you live in the UK per chance? There are lots of charities to do with M.E that have a large variety of people with M.E on there and can support each other.
-
@DAiiSYXO Every person has problems, and in no way are yours less to mine. I am pleased to see that you seem to have such a positive attitude and lovely way. There is little support here, and i can't really get in contact with others who have this illness. It's refreshing to talk to someone who understands.

@LyraRaven Aha, you commented at the one time I'm on the computer so you're lucky and get quick replies :) That's really great that you get into school, despite the pain side of it. I managed to do the school part a few years ago but just ended up getting really sick again, so haven't done any since 09. Glad to hear you're happy too, I always have to smile at things even when they're simple because they mean so much to people like us. I really hope it continues and you get better fully!
-
@DAiiSYXO wow that was a fast reply. I have a school attendance of 70% now, a big improvement. I've been accepted into college, so things are much better. I'm still in a lot of pain all the time, and dream of being free of it, but i have a lot of friends, and can walk almost a mile sometimes. I'm also happy, almost all the time. Even with the pain. I think im partly so happy, because i was so ill and i know how good simple things are. I also know i might not be here the next time i get an illnes

@LyraRaven It is unfortunate the whole cold/bugs bit, every time my family gets a cold I get it the day after and it's a pain in the ass as it takes so long to get better from it. It sounds like you've suffered it really badly, makes my experience with it seem very minor compared to what you've gone through. Although it definitely helps shape you as a person, I don't think I'd be the person I am now without having gone through this all.
@RoyMcGabe You're a moron. Medical practitioners don't diagnose things which don't exist.

@RoyMcGabe It's your ignorance that you need to man up to. If it's not real, then why are there children in hospital very ill with it?
Do you seriously think your judgement on this illness is better/more right than a qualified medicial professional who knows it's real?
