I hope this made you feel less insecure :) you really didn't make ONE valid point. I'm 16 & VERY familiar with John Hughes films. It may not be super-relevent, but it gives some insight into the character, which is pretty damn important. Also, I consider myself to have a pretty wide vocabulary, despite my age. The film was terrible, i mean it was not the worst film ever made, that title goes to "Speed 2" ...-_-..... but yeah compared to the rating it got, Rotten Tomatoes gave it 72%.... they gave the Godfather 2 71% WTF, are they actually saying Easy A is a better movie then the Godfather Part 2, ive never been a big fan of the Godfather series, but its epic compared to this shit, you will hate all the characters and the story is just repetetive and terrible, fuck this film, and fuck rotten tomatoes

Just to let you know. The film references the father picking all the movies in the house. The viewer was to read into this. Read that the daughter has grown up in her fathers favorite choices and his environment. This would give her the 80's references. Also I agree this wasn't mentally challenging but it was aimed at teens that enjoy entertainment and a sense of understanding from their own outcast feeling. Not all movies are for everyone but I enjoyed the idea if this. The teacher should have
