@clemshaw - Shawn, That one is great! Thanks for giving me permission to feel that springy tension when the right arm folds and the wrists hinge. All that tension free and maintain grip pressure stuff spouted all the time kept me from loading at the top properly. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks guys. As a lefty playing righty, I think it's just a matter of allowing the right elbow to fold and the wrists to hinge, and then maintaining that right arm fold as the arms fall. Sounds easy. But the point that Shawn made earlier about how the brain can only focus on one side of the body comes into play and I really have to focus on the right arm in the backswing and not my left. I think I have always defaulted to the left since that has been my power source on the downswing.

Videos concerning this positioning: "golf pro lesson arm motion", "golf pro lesson bridging flat wrists with hinged wrists", "golf pro lesson through ball", "golf pro lesson taut swing philosophy", "golf pro lesson arms falling down plane" and "golf pro lesson how to clear the hips"; you will have every angle with these! :) Shawn

Yes; you basically want to feel that the arm club unit feels like one piece; when you let the arms hang from each side of the body, the elbows point where they should; then bring the arms together keeping the same relationship; biceps facing up and elbows pointing down...Also, for the hip turn question below, you want to perfect the feet together drill and make sure you see the "golf pro lesson feet together update" too! Thanks for the comments!

See the following: "golf pro lesson weak grip or strong grip" and the "golf pro lesson one leg swing no weightshift" combine the 2 and see the magic! My dvd series would help a lot too...:) Shawn

A follow up: When I strenghened my grip, the wrist set and rt. elbow fold at the top put me in a better, on-plane position to enable the correct fall in the downswing. Don't know why - maybe I am hitting my snuff boxes better.

Very Good! See the answer below to your other comment; it blends well with what you are saying here; Shawn

I am having a little difficulty in the transition concerning the finish of the backswing and then leading with the right elbow during the fall of the downswing. Do the floating arms help facilitate a "repositioning" of the right elbow to help it lead in the downswing? Any thoughts/advice in this area?

Hey synckd! I just uploaded a video to help; called "golf pro lesson fine tuning plane arm motion"; it will help you get into that power loaded position with the arm-club unit; Shawn
