SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE HELPED THE SUMMER OF PEACE GROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Milwaukee Public Schools...... COA Youth & Family Centers...... Milwaukee Public Theater.................. Thanks to a grant from MPS Partnership for the Arts, Children's Outing Association and Milwaukee Public Theatre will be providing planning, promotional support and funding for in-depth workshops for Summer of Peace 365 this summer. Project Director Tanya Cromartie-Twaddle will reach youth in over 20 agencies, encouraging their participation in the city-wide rally on August 8th. She and writer John Gerlach will also be providing arts residencies at COA's Goldin Center/Auer Avenue School, O.W. Holmes Elementary School and Lincoln Center of the Arts, where youth will be creating their own newspapers around themes of peace and non-violence MPT will also be providing parade elements and workshop/craft artists at the Summer of Peace Rally.
