Slide show tribute. Music of Helen Reddy, bonds of moms and child, daughter, son. Slideshow tribute.
You and Me Against the World 1974 classic. Lyrics:

Tell me again mommy
You and me against the world
Sometimes it feels like you and me against the world
When all the others turn their backs and walk away
You can count on me to stay

Remember when the circus came to town
And you were frightened by the clown
Wasn't it nice to be around someone that you need
Someone who was big and strong and looking out for

You and me against the world
Sometimes it feels like you and me against the world
And for all the times we've cried I always felt that
God was on our side.

And when one of us is gone
And one of us is left to carry on
Then remembering will have to do
Our memories alone will get us through
Think about the days of me and you
You and me against the world

And when one of us is gone
And one is left alone to carry on
Then remembering will have to do
Our memories alone will get us through
Think about the days of me and you
You and me against the world

I love you mommy, I love you too

  • my mom was a single mom raising two boys. she had alot of bad luck but she always loved me and my brother. she made sure we were happy. on some of those bad luck days she would sing this song to us before bed. she passed away two years ago and i miss her dearly. this song takes me back to those childhood days when it was just the three of us. i can still see and hear her singing it and my brother and i would say the last line. I Love You Mommy thanks for posting

  • This song tears me up..

  • I am a 48 year old man. My friend lost his mother a few years back, and I couldn't think of what to say to him in his time of sorrow. So, I bought a Sympathy card and wrote the last part of Helen Reddy's song. He was touched by this simple, and yet profound lyric. Even now, when I hear this song, I tear up. Even though I rarely have ever cried.

  • Very very special song... Simply beautiful !!!

  • @codybaragia I am so very sorry for your losses. That gift your Mom gave you of this priceless song will help in times of stress. I am crying as I write this, as I miss my own mother--she was 24 carot gold. God Bless.
