The Bird Men of Papantla were watched by Artist Della Burford/Dale Bertrand in Puerta Vallarta . They do a ceremony to Honor the earth and the passage of time and wish for fertility in the growing season. This t gets passed down from fathers and uncles to sons or nephews. They climb a 30 metre pole and fall backwards off the pole and with ropes attached fly in circles to the ground. They must have 13 revolutions which is the months of the Mayan Calendar and with four of them make 52 revolutions. One plays the flute and small drum to pay homage to the four directions, seasons and winds. Della watched them 12 times and painted her feelings in watercolor and then mixed in collage the paintings and photos. Rob helped in the feedback. The music was done by Sa Ra Ga Ma and is called "Air" from The Four Elements album - it is from Creative Commons. Della thanks everyone so much. This is the second version of the video.
