  • I noticed the Germans pronounce the Word "I" something like Ick in english! But I washed a movie in German and they were from Bavvaria and they pronouce it like "Ish"! This is confusing to me! Whats the proper way to say it and in Germany do they say it different depending on where you come from?

  • @chino1922 the correct pronunciation is neither "ck" nor "sh", the "ch" sound doesn't exist in English and is pretty hard to explain. if you watch some of my german videos with german subtitles (eg the german readings) you will notice how it sounds. certain dialects alter the sound as you said. In Berlin they say "ick" in Hesse they say "isch" for example.

  • For some reason I think that the words 'verbrochen' and 'verkrochen' would be a good example of the two different sounds as well as to help people pronounce them a bit better. Just a thought lol I love your videos :)

  • @shannyogirl As this is about the difference between R and CH, I don't really get your example. But thanks for the input anyway ;)

  • Thing in the back of your throat = tonsil. =)

Thank you. I get it now. =)

  • @thebluestofpeas :) no, what I meant was uvula. The tonsils have nothing to do with your pronounciation.
