Now, was there any noticeable input lag? I'm considering getting this for fighting games played at high tournament level, more than 16ms or 1 frame of lag is unacceptable.

@jonlsf
As with any USB 2.0 external capture cards there is discernible latency of a couple of seconds when viewed through the included software on a computer. However, there is NO apparent latency when viewed from the output set to an external display.
So if you are going to be doing something with the source, such as playing a game, you are going to want to be viewing the "source" material from an external display and NOT from the software, whether you are recording or not.

You tell us, READ THE FAQ! It's there for a reason.

how fast of a computer did you use to record this? and what is the average bitrate (mb/sec) for uncompressed and compressed recording?
mrJESUSatWork 1 year ago
@mrJESUSatWork
Specs:
ASUS P6X58D-E motherboard.
Intel i7 950.
Windows 7 64bit Home Premium.
12 GB RAM.
1 TB HDD(WD1002FAEX) dedicated for recording/rendering.
Data rates for compressed and uncompressed capture and playback can be found on page 52 and 53 of the Intensity manual, as found on Blackmagic's web site. We're NOT going to go into it as there are a lot of variables. Please refer to the manual.
