what year did you plan on getting? 81-83 are the most sought after because during those years they made the 750S, which was the fastest production bike during those years, after 83 they dropped off

I have one of these bikes, they're very cold blooded. Did you every have a problem with it beginning to overheat when idling around?

You need to put in a new Fanstat- Radiator FanThermostatic Switch, cost about $12-20 and it screws right it replacing the old one. It will kick in your radiator so it won't overheat.
Find the VF700 Sabre forum, and you'll get all the info there.
