We'll show you how to plug a USB keyboard into your iPad so you can play your own keyboards in GarageBand. You need a couple of extra accessories but many will prefer this method to the onscreen keyboard offered in the GarageBand app for iPad @ butterscotch.com: http://bit.ly/fms3Hj

  • I have an M-Audio Oxygen 8 that will not work with the Camera Connector kit either. I'm guessing its too old but I can't figure out how to tell if its a first generation. - Britta

  • Oh yeah, I should have added that the Radium 49 does not control GarageBand.

Thanks and I welcome any solutions. - Bill

  • Sean - Well, I purchased the iPad camera dongle and connected everything the way you described using my M-Audio Radium 49 USB keyboard. Yet every time I plug into the iPad 2 I get a message saying "Cannot Use Device - The connected USB device is not supported".

Any thoughts? Perhaps the Radium 49 is too old?

Thanks again for any feedback and your excellent video demonstration.

    - Bill

  • Well Done! Answered my questions and concerns quite nicely.
