Daily News Beer Nut Norman Miller thinks there's a beer out there for everyone. After a few months of tasting, his lab rat, Nicole Simmons, hasn't agreed. Will a Valentine's Day inspired Young's chocolate stout be the one, especially since Nicole has a major sweet tooth? Take a look and find out. And read the Beer Nut blog at http://blogs.townonline.com/beernut/

  • You mustn't have read the description...I am not the Beer Nut. Norman Miller is the Beer Nut. I hate beer. But in this experiment, he was trying to prove that there's a beer out there for everyone. We never found one for me, though. And the glass is his.

  • You know, I asked the Beer Nut, Norm, if I should do something like that because I saw a show where they tasted olive oil and sucked in air after. He didn't say to do anything special. Honestly folks, at this point, I think I've disproved his theory...I just don't enjoy beer. :( nicole

  • I may have misrepresented myself on the video...I do like dark chocolate now. I do NOT like this burnt-tasting beer, though.

  • stupid fat bitch. this beer is good.

  • Beer is not something you just drink a couple of sips of and think it tastes good, its more of an aquired taste. You sit down with a couple of friends, talk about stupid shit youve done with each other, eat some damn good food, and get hammered all the while.

  • thats a really good beer

  • Chocolate and beer are both bitter, I would've thought they'd go well together. But then, I like beer and I like straight chocolate. My fav. chocolate is the organic bars with the cacao nibs in there.... mmmmmm.....

  • I agree with you. As a stout drinker, I do not like the ones with prominent chocolate notes. Sweetness and beer do not go together. Even though this is bitter chocolate, it still reminds me of sweets.

  • I think young's is pretty great stuff. I remember the first time I didn't get the chocolate so much but try drinking a can of guiness or some other standard stout/porter first then go to young's and the chocolate is so prominent.

  • Sorry, I didn't even read your description! Since I know now, MAYBE you'd like to try Lindemans Framboise or Lindemans Peche. They're lambic style beers and MIGHT float your boat (they're more on the sweet/fruity side) I enjoy it as well. Oh, and don't forget that goblet too! =p

  • a beer specialist who has no enjoyment for beer? she also owns a goblet...used for drinking fine beers! haha...nicole...don't waste any more of your money and good beer tasting...especially good stuff like young's. =p

  • I wouldn't recommend a double chocolate stout to a person who's never tried a stout before as it's very rich and can be somewhat overwhelming to the unfamiliar. This beer is for stout drinkers and it is by far my favorite stout.
