1. Why haven't you done a video for Root 2 brakes?
2. If gases rise, how come we don't need to do headstands to fart?

@tasteegold7772 In cars it's recomended to change the brake fluid at a certain interval, so yeah I guess something happens with the fluid over time.

@SRAMtech in the beginning you say that bleeding is removing air from the system. so aside from collecting air bubbles does the fluid itself ever actually break down/get dirty?

i just hate hydrolics brakes since i had to change pads on my juicy3, the pistons were too close togheter so i had to push them apart (advice from pinkbike forum) this broke the diaphragm so i would have to empty the brake, buy & install new diaphragm and rebleed the brake, im not rich godamnit, and what a pain in the a*s!! now im pissed cuz it would be less expensive to get some brand new BB5 but id be stuck with brand new juicy3 pads!!!

Any reason for using DOT 5.1? The stuff is awful in every way apart from it's temperature properties (corrodes piping, highly hygroscopic etc). I wouldn't put it near my car braking system.
Is there any specific reason why I couldn't use a synthetic DOT4?
I use a racing synthetic DOT4 in my car brakes and they go upto 600ºC so I can't see why I can't use it here???

@Hypersonik Feel free to use DOT 4. DOT 5.1 is used because of higher performance. XX brakes need 5.1 only. Do NOT use DOT 5 in any Avid brake.
