These people were protesting the Port of Tacoma because The 2nd Infintry Division was retrieving its overseas inventory.
It really hurts the troops when we come back from a war to see a bunch of young, ingnorant, anti-american protestors.
I just wanted to pick up my Stryker and go home to my family. But these people held up my convoy for hours. They can only pray to God himself I wasn't armed at the time.

Essentically what was happening was the "peaceful" protesters were 1: assaulting the police by throwing things at them. 2: they were impeading a military movement. Neither of these two criminal actions are allowd under the right of free speach. Things got out of hand and it was due to the direct actions of the "peaceful" protesters. They crossed the line and the cops did what they had to. By the way I was there that night and saw the whole thing.

YEAH HAHA my dad worked this night on it he works for the tacoma police department he just called me and told me to check it out he siad they were throwing stuff at there barricades and so they threw tear gas YES SWEET OLD TACOMA!
