Zelda 2: Adventure of Link -- Ending -- 0 cont/saves

This is high quality video of the ending of Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link. It includes both bosses and was done on a single game without any continues or saves (evidenced at the end of the video where the game count on the saved file is shown as 0). No cheats were used. This was done using the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console download of the game.

I'm angry at myself for not beating this game. Didn't have any cheats or hints. Couldn't turn the last castle's force field off so I could go inside.

@bigtruckseriesreview You have to defeat the other temples and place the crystals in the statues for the last palace to open up.

So where does this lead off? When you choose the file, do you get to replay the last level? Is the game complete, and the only thing you can do it explore? Do you restart the game from scratch but with maxed out stats?

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link was my very first Nintendo game my parents bought for me when I was 8 years old. Man, it took forever to beat this game and was really hard, but I still have fond memories of playing it.

In some ways Zelda II was an excellent game, and it's too bad Nintendo never made another Zelda in this fashion.
