Isn't that just one of the most beautiful sounds on the planet.
Fretless basses just have a sound of their own.

e=related I was born in 89. I'm not an oldie. i just appreciate all music :) -
@docBOSS1444 To go fretless probably means your playing a more harmonic piece of music, something slow with a casual drum beat in the back. Maybe with a few synths. You can use fretless bass for hard rock but i don't think it would have the same inpact as a normal fretted bass. Best if you could have both and switch between the two using the Boss FS-5U pedal for live performances. I truly love the sound of fretless basses. you could hear alot of it in the 80's. listen to 'Japan' :)

@maninahole how would you describe the main differences in sound, im thinking about getting a fretless but i was told its not ideal for rock, how do you feel about this

@Raffael900me How many years have you played bass? I have played bass (plus, guitar, piano, drums, and several stringed instruments) for over 25-years, so I am more than entitled to a critical opinion. This bass solo is nothing special -- it is just a bunch of digital sound effects, which anybody that can play a fretless at all could do!

THIS VIDEO MADE ME A MAN
I hate to ask this, but what is the melody he is playing in the middle part of the solo when he's on the looper? Its lovely and I know I've heard it before, but can't think of where or who wrote it.
