full moon sucks for dog hunting in my neck of the woods!

@SportHunter4Life Not sure why. but i personally have had better luck on overcast dark nights. and i dont hunt at night much any more. Not saying that you dont have good luck with the full moon. Good hunting!

@rednecklowlife When it's an overcast cloudy night the coyotes wander everywhere. Even when it's crystal clear and bright they do also. I noticed they are more jumpy in the bright moon light than in the dark haze. I like hunting overcast nights, I can see fine and there are no sharp shadows. They often come out the bait and stand in a shadow, hard to pick em out. When it's bright out I get away with more movement with the moon shining in their eyes. I have 3 baits going and looking forward to it

@BigAgitator My buddy Cory shot two last night...but the conditions were such in this bog that we couldn't find em. To risky. So now this spot is a centerfire only, no rimfires. We have to knock em down right there. You are right about the full moon. I'll be out most of the night lying in wait for a yotie....22 mag in hand.

@BigAgitator Shot one years ago with my 300 ultra mag. About a 600 yard shot and still nailed a huge hole in em with a bonded hornady. Shooting coyotes is a blast. Just checked my baits today and I have 4 good ones for the next few nights out. Gonna lighten up the local pack if ya catch my drift.

I think you oughta' kill one with it... It'd be really good. Those 22-250s are nasty with heavy loads. GAWD!

It'd make a big ass hole. Eventually I want to purchase a 300 win mag.  Just at some point in the future, maybe 5 years, maybe 10. All I know is that when I do, I'll have to shoot a coyote with a heavy load just to see how big a hole I can make. Maybe come close to cutting it in half.

@BigAgitator Ahahaha I know what you mean. I have a Thompson Center Prohunter in 22-250. It shoots good and I have yet to kill a coyote with it. Might have to this winter. I have another account on here called MrAnimalControl. I killed a coyote Wed. night the 15th with my 22 mag. It's on that channel as my featured vid. If you get out there, kill one and film it man!
