@leighsharon1 I'm a longtime fan of Joni Mitchell and I just listened to the performance of Close Your Eyes with James. Her voice is soaring and clear, but I like this performace best...Carly's voice blends so seamlessly with James's.

Joni Mitchell was the only one who could sing THIS song with James. Just recently saw James reunited with Carol King. Great show but as a Joni Mitchell freak, I would have loved to see her too. Wish she was into it and never smoked camel straights to change her vocals so drastically. I am still hoping.

These harmonies must make God, Himself smile! What a shame talent like this is so hard to find now. Not that it's not out there, but without a viable recording industry ( i.e. profitable,therefore functional) so many artists are never given the chance for their music to be heard by a mass audience. Both Simon and Taylor had numerous Top 40 hits, but this was at a time when the charts were loaded with variety. The top hits now? Ugghhh! American F-ing Idol? A way must be found to sell music!

Did he sing this with all his women? He was with Joni Mitchell doing this before Carly! Poor Carly got him all herion addicted. Thanks to Paul McCartney for "discovering"' and recording him.
