Car accident. She died on her 19th birthday. A woman was texting and driving and ran a stop sign hitting my sister's side of the car.

10 thousand is still owed on the wreck that SHE caused and that's just the accident itself, not including Chris' medical bills and Kayla's funeral costs. No matter how much money that woman pays or how much she lies to everyone saying that she wasn't texting and driving when she was, it won;t change the fact that she killed my sister. She killed a mother to a son who will never know her, which is probably what hurts the most. Hope she's proud, because she'll get hers one day. RIP SIS

I mean, she was speeding (going 75 at the least, if you saw the jeep you would know what I was talking about.) texting and driving (which is illegal in the state of Alabama might I add), caused an accident that caused a death and injured three others. I'm no lawyer, but I believe that is one count of vehicular homicide and three attempted counts, don't you think. Instead, that woman got off with NOTHING. All she had to do was pay a little fine that won't even cover what it needs to.

Kayla was my sister. I know her mom, her brothers and her son. The woman WAS texting and driving, ran a stop sign and hit the jeep that my sister, my brother Chris and two other people were in. She claimed she was going 55, but that is such a lie. She told the police she was texting and driving. It;s in the police report. No offence if you are friends with this woman, but I believe that she should have gotten at least SOME jail time.... (1/2)

It's ok. Her one year vigil is this Sunday at the grave site. It'll be so hard, but...it's inevidable I suppose.

She died in a car accident on her 19th birthday leaving behind her 8 month old son Junior, Her mom Jeana, her brothers Thomas and Chris, her sister me, and many many loving friends.
We miss her so much!
