Isn't it so much nicer that contradictions in the Old Testament are due to different writing groups adding to the text rather than an apologist who has to explain away all of the contradictions in order to support the flawed tradition that Moses wrote the Pentateuch? Read the Book "Who Wrote the Bible?" By Richard Elliot Friedman. That book is monster. It destroys the "mosaic" authorship of the Torah completely.

I can list many more but i won't. The JEPD theory did not come about because people didn't like the Bible, but rather off of simple observation of Biblical text. Rather since Jesus calls it the law of Moses, Christians CANNOT accept the validity of the theory because of their one-sided close mindedness and must refute it at all costs. Good luck studying christian.

#1 - When you read the Documentary Hypothesis from a Christian book, your going to get a verryyyyy one-sided close minded viewpoint. I happen to be studying the JEPD theory as a Jewish Studies Major and I must say its pretty legit.
#2 - Why is it legit? Because if Moses is TRULY the author of the Torah, or as you Christians call it, the Pentateuch, then why does it contradict? Who saved Joseph, Ruben or Judah? What came first, Man, or animals? Genesis 1 says Animals, Genesis 2 says Man.

LOL! You're a funny guy. Anyway, I'm doing O.T. study as well, including JEPD.
By the way, I'm really amazed at Spong. He's even gone further off the tracks now than when he was in that video you responded to (when he was on John Ankerburg with Dr. Martin).
