NOKIA!!!! DROP THE PRICE of this phone. I want this phone and I can't buy it for $650. That is ridiculous pricing. There will not be as many apps as in the Appstore because not everybody can afford these super expensive phones of yours. Nokia, drop the prices please. GEEZ!!!!

The N900 is truly a great device and for that price unlocked, it's great but unfortunately it's most likely not going to sell how it should at least not in America. They really needed to subsidize it. That way, it will easily sell much more than it would've at $550. Nokia would lose money per sale but they'll easily make it up plus more due to the number of people that will buy the device for the lower price eventually ending up with a major profit.

You may be misunderstanding my point. My point isn't that the price is too high for an unlocked device, it's that Nokia shouldn't expect to sell too many of the devices for that price point in America. Them and TMobile should've came to an agreement to subsidize the device and sell it for at the most $300 where the average person can afford it, thus making Nokia more sells like the N900 should have.

Honestly, the N900 doesn't have much more over a $200 subsidized device such as the Droid for instance, if you're going simply off specs. It may be two or three things it has over that device and those two or three things do not justify a $350 price difference. The UI and OS of the N900 are great. The 32GB of storage is great. I can understand that price point Unlocked but even then, it's not going to sell as well as it should.

i just dont see the point of this. phones price won't go down if your just crying about the price and not buying the phone. n900 has so much stuff i think they cant lower the price so much that it would matter and your 35 year old i think you can get a real job save money -_- its a risk. people who are after apps may just stay with iphone and nokia will lose money because they lowered the price

Why wouldn't it be? More people would be able to buy it meaning more profit for them and more independent developers for programs through Maemo 5 and Ovi. Why wouldn't that help Nokia?
-
your asking them to drop the price and thats not helping you know?
