To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Father, I love Your ways ... You came in Your mercy and died in my place" is theologically unsound. The Father did not come and die in our place. The Son did. You cannot confuse the Father and the Son. Our worship should be in spirit and in truth. It is a nice song, but let's make sure our praises are filled with truth.
@akzuniga God was in Christ, but to say the Father died is theologically wrong. The Father did not die our place, the Son did.

srprimeaux, I believe the Father did come...in Christ and the song is "theologically sound".
2 Corinthians 5:19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
