One thing I will never understand is why Ezzard Charles gave Joe Walcott a third chance, after beating him twice. Jersey Joe really had a hard hook.

Mike would shed tears for about a month straight after the death of Cus. I still remember after the funeral Mike ran all the way back up to catskill and it was about 10 miles away. By the time Kevin and I got there he was locked in the bathroom crying his head off. It hurt me so bad because I knew Mike didn't trust anyone like he trusted Cus. He truly was like a father to him got Mike to believe in himself as well as Cus.
