  • i love the hand movement she does when she sings high notes:3

  • The song is actually called New York I love You, But You're Bringing Me Down. Yes it is that extremely long title lol it's originally by LCD Soundsytem but wow Lauren did an amazing job covering that song

  • She sounds much better singing this than she did "My Man." But she's got to let go of that horrible, Annie-like belt. I still think she's not good enough to handle Funny Girl, and her voice quality isn't suitable. They're going to have to change the keys. I'm kind of sick of famous actresses wanking off with their "quirky", cutesy, "off-beat" little bands. Yeah, I'm talking to you Zooey Deschanel. You can put a cork in it too, Scarlett Johansson!

  • I love Lauren. She's really really gorgeous!

  • @jimdivax I like your post up until you said "sexual edge"..... sexual edge and funny girl? LMAO ok

  • Given that this was shot two years ago, I'm going to let this rather...subpar performance slide - god knows what even a month can do to a singer. Besides, she auditioned for the role, so I'm sure she can handle it.

  • @jimdivax Totally agree. Lauren Ambrose was a really impressive choice to play Funny Girl. She'll be great.

  • @Toffelielain Hahahaha.

  • @sydneybasilia Me too..

  • @islezeus Sorry islezeus, Lea is more Debbie Boone than Barbra Streisand! Her voice makes all the right noises, but seems without substance. At 19 Barbra was kooky and nuanced. Lea is sweet and ..well...a bit girl-next-doory. But Ms Ambrose has the acting chops and cutting sexual edge to play the 'Fanny Brice' of 'Funny Girl' brilliantly. (The real Fanny Brice was a different animal again!)
