Mooney M20F N3537X Emergency Mistake (Audio)

The pilot of a Mooney M20F, registration N3537X, made a huge pilot error when deciding to keep flying when he received a low fuel pressure warning. Even if the plane continues to fly you are supposed to land immediately. This is basic pilot training material and not only that but should be common sense to any and every pilot.

Its hard to tell what was going on in the cockpit. He could have overstated something that wasn't a big deal and felt embarassed about it. Perhaps he just thought he was going to lose the engine because he mis-read the fuel pressure indicator; who knows without being there.
