@ChelseyLee830 Playford published the series as "for Violin, Recorder, Oboe, Flute". I am an oboist and have played these exact same pieces and have accompanied many other woodwind and string players on these. Hope this helps.

Does anyone happen to know whether the division flute is just a transcription of the division violin, or rather if Playford published editions for many instruments?

My favorite period in history is the 17th century, and if any song embodies it, it is this. Many thanks!

La Folia and all its variations always make me want to weep - out of sheer beauty...
BTW, could you give me some basic advice on Baroque flute? I learned recorder at school (as every child does) and in spite of having tried violin and zither too, flute still remains my favourite. Is the digitation vastly different from one instrument to another? Are there initiation instruments, reasonably priced? Thanks in advance!
Wonderful performance of this Folia!
