Police are usually 1st on scene to encounter dying children, gunshot victims, raped victims, homicide, teenage suicide, etc. Not to mention threats of armed felons who don't want to go back to prison (I am FOR right to bear arms). Violators badmouth cops because they don't give them a break. Cops don't need people texting their cop-killing wishes and stereotypical remarks if they haven't donned their bulletproof vests.

According to Wolfram|Alpha, there are 641,590 patrol officers in USA, which is 9,826,675 square miles. Wait! I'm not done. These officers don't work 24/7. They work 8 hours, also. Divide 641,590 by 33.3 and divide that into 9,826,675. Do the math. Then look at their salaries. It is atrocious! There were 141 police suicides in 2008, and 1,000 to every incident are officers suffering silently from pain and trauma of their experiences. Do they need all this verbal abuse because the media an

Simple fact of life, if there is a good person that does the right thing, there will be an evil asshole to fuck everything up. Arguing about how the majority of cops are good/bad is as pointless as teaching a rock how to talk. There will always be bad cops just as much as good cops, don't do anything stupid and they'll never bother you.
