The John Denver Santuary is near the Rio Grande Park in Aspen. This memorial features many of Denver's songs carved into large granite stones. Denver died in his small airplane October 12, 1997.

I am from Ohio, and made a point to visit this sanctuary. It is one of the most beautiful spots and a definatee highlight to my many trips to Colorado! I miss you, John!
