@22CaliberHitters Right. And what did it do? Build up resistance to the brutalities which the US was hiding from the world. It wasn't about pissing off Muslims. Muslims around the world were ALREADY pissed off about this. The sorts of things that were released were already widely suspected by Muslims all around the world, and those sympathetic with various middle-eastern causes, such as Palestine. It was to inform the general public, who only gets news from the hegemonic voice.

@22CaliberHitters They released them to get the average American to pay some attention to the wrongdoings of our occupation in Iraq. It doesn't take a conspiracy theory to answer every question. Yes, we gave Sadam Hussein billions in guns to get a leader favourable to our cause in the middle-east. Things changed. But the poorest people have guns because the poorest nations have the richest people holding all of the money. Its easiest to influence the poor to fight your battles.

@22CaliberHitters It holds quite a bit of credibility, but I have no intent on arguing that. It has inspired and effected numerous people. Even if it WAS a CIA mission, how can inspiring people to reveal information about corruption be considered a bad thing? Wikileaks isn't the power here... it's the inspiration which wikileaks made mainstream. THAT is the power wikileaks holds. I fail to see how Assange's personal belief in the mainstream story of 9/11 proves he's a CIA op.
