could you use food dye from fruit (fruit dye)

@Thingamajigs I agree watercooling does not have to be for quite and cool it could just be to keep it really cool i could care less about my fans if you are gaming anyways you put on turtle beaches or blast the sound anyways whats a couple of fans going to do?

is there much of a difference between say a full thick triple rad or a quad rad and like dual 240rads one being 80mm thick and the other a 30mm thick I'm not looking for record temps really

Also he did not mentionned if he cleaned the inside of is radiator before the final coolant filling. Please don't do what he did. Fisrt assemble the cooling system outside, fill it up and test it. You see no leaks. install it inside your PC case. That the way everyone should do it.

@TimeToLiveCustoms Different strokes for different folks.
I watercool with a custom loop for performance and i'm quite content on having loud high CFM fans on my two radiators to accomplish that.
Others may watercool to make their rig quieter, again, different strokes.

@TheCrazySquirell No, that's algae, not dye. Just mix in some algicide and you're good to go.
-
surely you could add some pesticide into tubing to kill algae?
-
Also, don't use dye in your loop, it gunks up your blocks/rads leading to increased maintenance frequency.
Good video, very well explained. I am getting ready to set up my first h20 build so I have been reading a lot about it. I have heard, however, that it is not recommended to use dyes in your system. A lot of people seem to have had problems with it gunking up their waterblocks. Have you ever had that type of problem?

@dieselcalves its not the dye. Its algae growth that just gets coloured by the dye in the system.

I have an question, will a 360 rad work with gtx 580 and AMD 1075t? both are clocked
mgut17 3 weeks ago
@mgut17 depends what rad mate, they are all massively different. Youd 100% need a full sized (60mm thick) 360mm to cool those with what I would call acceptable temps and fan levels.

@TimeToLiveCustoms i was thinking of these fans to cool the components
Scythe slip stream 120, those are pushing 110 cfm, would a 45mm thick rad work then?
mgut17 3 weeks ago
@mgut17 if you add really loud fans to a watercooling kit to keep temps down it show youve not done it properly and are COMPLETELY missing the point.
