@gyqz You buy VTA tickets at the teller machines at the Rail stations. You can go to Great America on Bus or VTA Rail. Just go to VTA website (vta{.}org) and see the bus or Rail schedules. Also, I think you should go next spring or summer, when the weather is great. I mean the weather is generally good year-round, but sometimes it's unpredictable. Hope I helped :)

@gyqz you just buy a ticket there all where the people wait at the Vta you just buy a day pass for 5 bucks and travel around town

Hi...I'm from The Netherlands and planning a trip to San Jose this year. Could you please explain to me how this works?? Do I need to buy tickets or do I need to buy a pass and check in and out with every ride? Does it take you everywhere, or is it just downtown restricted? I'm also planning to go to California's Great America...do I need to go there buy bus, or is this light rail going there?? I need as much information you can give me and I will be eternally thankful for that!

@timosha21 well that could be i just think its demand if they don't need to run 3 car trains why would they.

very nice... light rail/tram for the future!

but the added weight i guess increases the need for usage of electricity...

wow that sucks but doesint it cost the same to have a three car train because you stil have one driver

They don't do it any more. This video is just over a year old now. Trains between roughly 9:30am-11am were three car trains along the Santa Teresa / Alum Rock Line. Cuts in the budget eliminated these, at least that's what I assume. Now you're lucky if you get a 2 car train, they've been sending out a lot of 1 cars lately, even during busy times of the day.
