In this special edition of Iran Today, the allegations against Press TV regarding the Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani interview episode are answered by Islamic TV.
The allegation that the show had attempted to get a confession from Ashtiani is dismissed mentioning
Press TV says Ashtiani had already been convicted and sentenced to death . The second point brought up is that other media outlets had also been provided with the same opportunity to interview Ashtiani and they had all gone and interviewed her, and then been arrested by Islamic Regime.
The third point mentioned is that Press TV's Iran Today decided to approach the story from another angle and that was the murder of Sakineh Ashtiani's husband, Ibrahim Ghaderzadeh, who was killed by somebody else.
It is further mentioned that this murder case is already closed since everybody is sentenced to death, therefore the show could not have impacted those Islamic death penalty.
The program then goes on to show that the Sakineh Mohammadi's interview with the Guardian never took place.
