Tour of the Greensboro Solid Waste Transfer Station

This is video I took on a tour of the Greensboro Solid Waste Transfer Station. Members of the public and Orange County Commissioners toured the site to see how it was run. Orange County is searching for a site to build a station like this one. Alas, their choice so far has been a site out in pretty much undisturbed woods, about 2500 feet or so from my house! The trucks, noise, trash, runoff, etc. that such a station would create are out of character for a rural area. Hopefully we can nudge the Commissioners towards a somewhat more environmentally appropriate siting arrangement.

I Watched this video to see if I could see any well worn porn/stripper hih heel shoes that had been thrown out in the waste. But I guess no-one threw away any horny high heel shoes when this was being filmed, Not even a porn magazine! (sigh)
